Stones River Paddle Pop-Up June 6 & 7!
POP-UP PADDLE: SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH AND SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH
Join us on this 3-3.5 hour paddle where you will paddle both the scenic Stones River and the main water artery of Nashville, the Cumberland River!
Because of COVID-19 there is NO SHUTTLE SERVICE
Drop a car at the end of McGavock Pike (see details below) = TAKE OUT
Lyft/Uber/drive second car to Kohls at Stones River = PUT IN
You'll start your paddle at Kohls at Stones River -- MEET CREW HERE
2330 Jackson Downs Blvd Nashville TN 37214
There is ample parking at Kohls
The Stones River is a tributary of the Cumberland River and you'll join the Cumberland River across from Peeler Park. Just go with the river flow (essentially, you'll turn left from the Stones onto the Cumberland)
Depending on how fast you paddle, the wind, etc, etc, you'll spend about an hour on the Stones and two hours on the Cumberland.
The TAKE OUT IS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RIVER
Our crew will be at the take-out area but please stay on the left side of the river after Lock Two Park as it's very difficult to paddle back upriver and we don't want you to miss the take out.
You'll end your paddle at McGavock Pike on the Opryland side (old ferry ramp) -- END PADDLE HERE
