RQV is now able to offer Paddle Pop-Ups in Metro Parks! We’re doing one this weekend and we would love to see you there.

For this weekend’s Paddle Pop-Up (Saturday, May 30th and Sunday, May 31st) we will be running a route on the Cumberland River beginning at Peeler Park, and ending in Shelby Park, and we are accepting advance bookings!

How the Paddle Pop-Up Works

While we are excited to begin slowly re-opening, at this point in time we are not quite ready provide regular transportation for our customers. In the interim, we are excited to facilitate kayak trips on the river through our Paddle Pop-Ups! Here is how this Paddle Pop-Up works:

1. Book your desired boat, day, and put-in time (or take a chance on a walk-up, though we will likely sell out)
2. You drop one vehicle at the route’s end point (Shelby Park) and then drive another up to the route’s starting point (Peeler Park)
3. Our crew will meet you at Peeler Park at your reservation time with sanitized boats and equipment
4. You have a lovely day paddling down the Cumberland River to Shelby Park (about 4 hours)
5. Our crew will meet you at the Shelby Park boat ramp at the end of your paddle to grab your boat and equipment, and you can leave to enjoy the rest of your day

We are limited to 50% capacity for Phase 2 reopening so keep an eye on our Instagram feed -- these will sell out, so book your boat now! Thank you for supporting RQV, a locally-owned business since 2015. We can't wait to get you out on the river!
