River Queen Voyages already makes kayaking The Cumberland easy. Now, our Eastside Saturday Paddles are making it even easier (for Easties, at least!)
Eastside Drop-off & Pick-up: No need to navigate outside the neighborhood— meet us in Shelby Park!
Primo 10 AM Departure: Plenty of time to go birdwatching or grab a local coffee beforehand, and plenty of day left after!
Downtown Views, None of the Stress: You’ll paddle 3 miles (~1 hour) downstream into the downtown skyline. We’ll meet you there and shuttle you back to Shelby.
How It Works
Once you book, it’s as easy as 1-2-3!
Meet at the Shelby Park Boat Ramp at 10am
Check in, get fitted for a PFD, grab a paddle, get a “Kayaking 101” speech, and hop in a kayak!
*while we accommodate walk ups when we can, we recommend that you reserve in advance to ensure we are operating and ready for you!
Paddle to Downtown (1-1.5 Hours)
Enjoy a relaxed, downstream paddle through the back of Shelby Bottoms and Davidson Street into the downtown Skyline.
Shuttle back to East
Our crew and shuttle van will be waiting for you downtown in Wasioto Park. There, we’ll help you out of the water and shuttle you back to Shelby Park. Easy!
