The Hobie Fiesta is a 4-person, pedal-powered boat designed for recreational use. It features Hobie's MirageDrive pedal system, which allows you to power the kayak with your feet instead of a traditional paddle. There is a paddle on board if desired.

It is relatively easy to learn how to pedal the Hobie Fiesta, but it does take some practice to become proficient.The Mirage Drive system works by using a pedal-drive mechanism that propels the fins back and forth. The fins, in turn, propel the watercraft forward. You control the speed and direction of the watercraft by adjusting the angle of the fins and by pedaling at a faster or slower pace. An RQV crew member will provide instructions on how to pedal and steer the Fiesta before your rental begins.

The Hobie Fiesta can seat up to 4 people at a time. The seats can turn around to face each other. This inflatable boat is perfect for couples, families, and groups with different skill levels.

Hobie lists the weight capacity at 1000 lbs. The combined weight of all 4 passengers and gear cannot exceed 1000 lbs.

The Hobie Fiesta can reach a top speed of about 4-5 mph.

The Hobie Fiesta is steered using the two handlebars located near the pedals. The speed and direction of the Fiesta can be controlled by adjusting the angle of the fins on the MirageDrive pedal system.

Fiesta rental includes 2 hours on the water, paddle, 4 personal flotation devices, cooler, and any other required safety equipment.

Add-on package includes stocking the cooler with ice and water. BYOB other drinks for the cooler.

Because this is an activity where you will be paddling on a river shared with larger commercial and recreational boats, we do not recommend children under 7. If you wish to rent the Fiesta with a child under the age of 7, please call us at 615-933-9778.

We love your furry friends but cannot accommodate them on the Fiesta. We recommend renting one of our Jackson single or tandem kayaks if you’d like to bring your dog on the river.

The Cumberland River is a Class 1 flat water commercial waterway, so there are no rapids. You will likely share the river with barges, river boats, fishing boats, and other motorized pleasure craft that can create some small wake. The Cumberland River is wide and paddles more like a lake, so the current is not very fast but there are undercurrents so please be attentive while on the water.

There is little to no shade on this portion of the river, so bring adequate SUN PROTECTION. For a full list of items to bring, review your confirmation email before arrival.

Metro Parks and the Army Corps of Engineers require that you **wear a life jacket at all times** on the Cumberland River. Rental time is 2 hours and late arrivals will be docked time during the rental period. Renters will be expected to follow all relevant boating laws and regulations, as well as any specific rules or given to you by a staff member.

You can bring items (including your phone for pictures) along with you, but we strongly recommend purchasing a DRY BAG for protection from the water at checkout. We have smartphone sized dry bags branded with the RQV logo available for purchase. Comfortable clothing and sun protection are HIGHLY recommended.

A small cooler will be provided and you may purchase the add-on package for ice, water, and larger dry bags for your personal items.

The rental starts and ends downtown near Nissan Stadium at 2 Victory Ave Nashville TN 37213. Meet us at our black and white tent by the red roller coaster statue for check-in. One of our crew will give you specific instructions on where to be in the river to stay safe and have the most fun.

Our crew definitely appreciates tips! It shows them they did a great job taking care of you by getting you on the river safely and lets them know you enjoyed your experience. 18% is customary and we’ve made it easy to add gratuity online when booking your reservation, or we are happy to accept cash or venmo tips at the end of your rental.

**We paddle rain or shine.** Do not assume your reservation is canceled unless you hear from an RQV crew member. We are required to cancel for severe weather (lightning, temperatures above 100℉, etc.). Severe weather cancellations may not be made until the start of the tour – we will notify you as soon as possible. Continue reading for our cancellation policy.

* If you cancel more than 14 days from your scheduled rental date, you will be issued a 100% refund.

* If you cancel 3-13 days prior to your scheduled rental date, you will receive a 50% refund. Alternatively, if you'd like to reschedule rather than cancel, we can issue you a full credit.

* If you cancel within 2 days of your scheduled rental date you will be charged the full amount of your rental. Alternatively, you can choose to reschedule for a 50% rebooking fee.
